Maria Liew

Went out with Motorola gang to shoot one of our models ...Maria.
Location: Zheng He Temple and a lake at balik pulau

My own theme, is to try to shoot Maria with natural smile and also frame her with my 50mm lens. Together with flash and high ISO, i try to limit my flash strength to get ambient light.

However, there were some noises due to my high ISO settings (~800).

The photos are adjusted in Photoshop for level, curve, shadow and highlight.

Please feel free to comment on the colour, composition, saturation and light source and angle.

The month of January and up till March is a chance to catch this sunrise warm and this wonderful hues of colour....

Taken with warm AWB and vary exposure in between -0.7 and -1 to limit highlights and overexpose. Not very sharp but will just do for the orang hue.

Went to Kampung Telaga Nenas for the first day for Raya Celebration with my buddies. It is located to the southwest of Perak, near Sitiawan.
Tasted some the raya foods and astonishingly my first taste on a cocoa fruit. Yes, the white texture of the cocoa seed can be eaten but not the seed.
After lunch, we took a boat ride to Lumut Port, visiting Kg. Baru and also passing through the Segari Bridge which near to Pulau Sembilan.

Siem Reap - Angkor Temples II

The is the second and the last series of the Angkor Temples.
According to Khmer history, Angkor Wat is not simply a temple, it is the symbol at the very heart of the Khmer people's pride in their culture and heritage.

Do you noticed that three out of five of the central towers adorns the Cambodian's flag?

Main attractions to Angkor Wat are such as the following;

1. The works of art and handicraft of the wall
2. The 1.5 km long moat covering from east to west and 1.3 km from north to south.
3. The main attraction is the bas-reliefs(fresco/carving) around the lower levels wall which tells victorious moments in the military might of the kingdom and numerous important figures of the Hindu pantheon.
4. Multi-headed Cobra (or naga) which protect the Kingdom
5. The pyramid style building and inked
